(Schema Therapy) - Works to identify and shift long-standing patterns or “schemas” that may be affecting your relationships or self-worth.
(EMDR) Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing - Used mainly for trauma and PTSD. It helps the brain process distressing memories using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation.
(CBT) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Helps you identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. Often used for anxiety, depression, and stress.
(DBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy - Combines CBT techniques with mindfulness strategies. It’s particularly helpful for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building distress tolerance.
(ACT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - Encourages you to accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than avoid them, while committing to actions that align with your values. Often used for anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.
A Mental Health Care Plan is a referral from your GP that gives you access to Medicare rebates for psychology sessions. It’s part of a government program to support people seeking help with their mental health.
Self-Managed NDIS
You (or your nominee) manage the funds directly. You choose your providers, receive invoices, pay them yourself, and then claim the money back from the NDIS portal. You can use providers that are not NDIS-registered.
Plan-Managed NDIS
A registered plan manager handles the payments for you. Your providers send invoices to the plan manager, who pays them on your behalf. You still have choice over providers, but they must invoice the plan manager – and often need to be NDIS-registered.
Phone - New Patient Form
Hi ….. thanks for calling have you booked with us before?
If you haven’t used our services before, you might be expecting to book with the first available therapist, but we do things with a liitle more care here.
Because we have specialist practitioners with expertise in different therapies and areas, we ask a few questions to match you with the right person. By doing this now we find it’s a better result for you the patient.
Just to reassure you, this call is not recorded, and anything you share is treated as private and handled with care.
It takes a few minutes, are you happy for me to ask those questions now?
